Our family of 4 just came back from a short holiday break in nearby Malaysia. It was a free and easy trip and entirely OTOT (own time own target), and thus very enjoyable.
We had the luxury of time for naps that lasted as long as we liked, and we ‘partied’ till the shops closed.
The best thing about this holiday is that as it was planned and decided in early October 2009, and the benefits of being early birds was that we managed to get great prices for the coach and air tickets.
~ Taken outside Tune Hotel, just 5 mins walk to KL Monorail ~
All in all, excluding expenses, it costs us about SIN $150 for all 4 of us.Our itinerary as follows:
- Sun, 24 Jan 2010, coach from SIN to KUL costs SIN $27.00.
- Tune Hotels.com Kuala Lumpur 1-night costs MYR 85.11.
- First World Hotel’s Standard View Rm 2-nights costs MYR 77.60.
- Wed, 27 Jan 2010, Air Asia Flight from KUL to SIN costs MYR 116.00.

Too bad i can't plan my trips so far ahead cos of the hospital attachments. :(
Now it's super expensive to go anywhere!
yeah, now as it is near cny, it;s super expensive to go anywhere, including within S'pore itself.
Wow, tks for sharing your itinerary and the cost!! Very informative and useful :)
That sounds like a trip we can actually afford, thanks for sharing! :)
Btw, how did you get from KL to Genting and vice versa?

To get from Genting to KL, take the Genting Express from KL Sentral, or the major bus stations, it is pretty affordable. =) and is available hourly.
