Prince’s fascination with Ben 10

Once, we were rushing to the Singapore Art Museum to attend an art workshop, but due to the heavy rainfall which flooded Orchard Road, our cab stayed stationary for a good ten minutes.

The cabbie advised us to have a change of plans, when he heard on the radio that the now-infamous flood was up to the knee levels.

Left with no choice, we alighted along Novena Road, and headed to United Square, to seek shelter from the merciless rain.

As it was during the school holidays, there was a Ben 10 Meet and Greet Session at United Square. Somehow, from that fateful day onwards, Prince developed an obsession with Ben 10.

That had resulted in him requested for Ben 10 stickers, Ben 10 underwear, Ben 10 attire, Ben 10 shoes etc.

PS:

Ben 10 can be pretty violent, thankfully the kids hardly watch any cartoons on TV, and thus we were able to limit the damage if any. The kids only watch cartoons borrowed from our local library, which are definitely more educational than violent.

It’s Hilarious; a blur betw Dreams & Reality

On a particular night, as part of his pre-sleep routine, Daddy Tiong woke Princess Chelsea up for her visit to the toilet close to midnight.

After releasing herself, Princess Chelsea asked for a piece of cotton wool, and proceeded to take the bottle of nail polish remover from the drawer.

She promptly went into the playing room, and started looking for some red stains to clean away. Daddy Tiong felt puzzled, but did not question more.

Princess Chelsea sleepily commented about the mysterious disappearance of the red stains, and went back to bed.

After a good 10 minutes, Princess Chelsea finally pieced the pieces of the puzzle together, the red stains that was supposing to be on the table was made by Prince Christian in her dreams.

That was why; she could not find the red stains in reality.

SonRock Kids Camp Rocks!

Our neighbour, Auntie Cynthia invited Princess Chelsea to join her son for the SonRock Kids Camp at the Chapel of Holy Spirit. With catchy songs, creative pieces of artwork, and innovative snacks ideas, it’s no wonder the kids loved the camp.

Chanting “I Love Mummy” helps lessens itch?

After a day out at Sentosa for the National Family Celebrations, Princess Chelsea got a terrible itch under her underarms. There was a slight rash, but she became more aware of it during bedtime.

She complained non-stop about it, and suddenly went silent. Mummy Eliz was curious, and asked if the itch had stopped after the air-con was turned on.

To her surprise, Princess simply said,

“I just kept saying “I Love Mummy” in my mind and the itch went away.”

Amazing isn’t it? The depth of her love for Mummy. In fact, her love for Mummy Eliz is more unconditional than Mummy’s love for her, Mummy Eliz feels.

E Sweetest Gift Art Workshop

A healthy self-esteem is important, especially when kids enter the rocky turbulent teenage years. If one has a healthy self-esteem, peer pressure would unlikely be an issue.

That is why Mummy Eliz hopes that Princess Chelsea can develop a healthy self-esteem.

Mummy Eliz tries hard to remember to give her encouragement for her efforts in daily life, but sometimes focuses too much on the negative side, thus resulting in her feeling discouraged at times.

Thus, when Princess Chelsea gets positive feedbacks from people she meet, Mummy Eliz will try to record it down.

Her Chinese Teacher who taught her for a year wrote in a parting note to her:

祝:

人见人爱的昀静
健康,快乐地成长!

爱你的苏老师
2010。3。11

Mummy Eliz never had a teacher telling her that she loves her.

And just recently, local artist Peter Draw said that Princess is the sweetest 5 year old girl he had met, after she attended one of his Art Workshops titled “The Sweetest Gift” at Ion Orchard Art Gallery.

Of course, that must be a courtesy statement made as it was just a day after Princess’ 5th Birthday, but it made her day nevertheless.

Princess Chelsea’s McDonalds Party

Princess Chelsea invited 12 of her closest friends to her McDonalds Party, and what fun it was!

The party hostess was great with kids and with everything down from the cake and goodie bags down to the decoration being taken care of; it was certainly a great relief for Mummy Eliz and Daddy Tiong.

Princess Chelsea commented that she felt that it was her happiest day, and to see her brighter than mid-day sun smile, check out the birthday song video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwvvtRS9KTM.

BBQ BDay Bash for God-Pa Mervin & Chelsea

Princess Chelsea’s birthday falls in the same month as God-Pa Mervin’s birthday, thus when schedule permits, a joint celebration takes place.

This year, a BBQ BDay Bash for God-Pa Mervin and Princess Chelsea was held at West Coast Park for Mummy Eliz’s group of McDonalds’ friends. Our friendship lasted since we were in our early teens, when we all part-timed at McDonalds at the old Plaza Singapore.

A record number of 8 kids had fun together, with the youngest at 6 months old, and the eldest at 15 years old. How times flies, we were teens once, and now the oldest next generation is already a teen!

~ Thanks to God-Pa Mervin for the cake! ~

Siblings’ Love - A Love-Hate Relationship

Times like this are as precious as gems and diamonds, thou Mummy Eliz’s two little darlings do not really fight, but like any other pair of siblings, siblings’ issues are plenty a dime. In fact, they enjoy a love-hate relationship with each other.

~ So loving! ~

~ Happily together ~

Reine – Princess Chelsea’s new best friend

Mummy Eliz has yet to get a picture of Princess Chelsea’s new best friend.

It must be fate – they clicked from the first meet-up at a social event at Grace Kids at Great World City, and declared each other as best friends from that point onwards.

Till this point of time, they have only met 3 times, so Mummy Eliz finds it unbelievable how Reine ranks higher than Prince Christian on Princess Chelsea’s best friend list.

PS:

Reine is a very sweet looking, well-behaved girl, thus Mummy Eliz is more than thankful for her company, but is also worried at the same time that Princess Chelsea might lead her wild.
