Christian’s 1-yr BDay w/ Mac Frenz

How time flies! Prince Christian is 1-yr old already.

The joyful occasion was celebrated in advance with our family friends at IMM Jurong. Princess Chelsea took the opportunity to have fun at the play-area located at the Garden Plaza. She was practically dripping with perspiration at the end of the play, thus one can imagine how hot it was.

Our thoughtful friends, besides having prepared gifts for Prince Christian, also prepared a little gift for Princess Chelsea.

God-pa Mervin presented Prince Christian with a piggy bank; Daddy Tiong and Mummy Eliz certainly hope it can be filled before his 2nd birthday.

Daddy Tiong’s very weird past-time

Recently, Daddy Tiong acquired a very weird past-time. He enjoyed exaggerating argh-argh sounds of displeasure to Prince Christian in an attempt to capture his cute upset expressions.

Contented Prince Christian rarely displayed upset expressions, thus it was really entertaining to witness him looking upset.

Dinner w/ Lu's Parents @ Bar 'n' Billard Rm

Sometime around Nov 2007, the whole family had the honor of dining with Lu's parents at Bar 'n' Billard Room at Raffles Hotel. The meal was very satisfying, great food in a great setting.

Most enjoyable! We certainly missed the food there.

Announcing the arrival of Nuggets!

Sometime around the end of Feb, though the freecycle website, Uncle Danilo kindly and generously gave us a 1-year old male rabbit affectionately known as Nuggets. Princess Chelsea was really excited about it, and the moment she saw Nuggets, she actually kissed him on the ears, and proclaimed that she would love him forever.

Daddy Tiong on the other hand, was more concerned about the extra amount of work that he had to take on, which included duties like clearing away his poo and pee, and his weekly shower.

Mummy Eliz, the mastermind of this adoption project, was thrilled also as she could now fulfill her childhood dream of owning a pet rabbit.

And Nuggets certainly kept us busy!

On its first night, Daddy Tiong had to clean his cage at 2am in the morning, as he decided he need to pee, and after peeing, shake his urine all over the kitchen floor.

Poor Mummy Eliz cut her fingers while cutting fresh carrots for the little rascal.

The major plus point about this adoption project is that Princess Chelsea learnt to be responsible about feeding Nuggets. This is also a great way to teach her to be compassionate and kind to little animals. And while feeding Nuggets his celery and carrot sticks, Princess Chelsea also ate some.

A healthy start to a great relationship with our pet rabbit!

Horton Hears A Who Family Movie Event

16th March 2008, Berriworks Dr Seus's Horton Hears A Who Family Movie Event @ Suntec Eng Wah. This certainly is a movie event great for families and their young ones.

A rare chance to catch a movie without tchk-tchk sounds of disapproval when the toddler tried to stand on her seat, or when the baby cries.

Highly recommended!

Disney On Ice - Mickey & Minnie Amazin Journey

15th March 2008 turned out to be a hot humid sunny Saturday. It is a day that Princess Chelsea had been waiting for excitedly.

This is the day that she could finally catch Disney On Ice - Mickey & Minnie's Amazing Journey at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. She had been his loyal supporter since a long time ago.

Special thanks and appreciation to Jo, for blessing us with the set of tickets she won from United Square's online contest.

Daddy Tiong, who had the honor of bringing Princess Chelsea for the event, commented that she was so excited and that her loud animated screams and cheers invited amused stares from all over.

Meet & Greet Session with Mickey & Minnie

For the first two days of March, the whole family went down to United Square for a chance to have a Meet & Greet Session with Mickey & Minnie.

The session is at 1pm, but one would have to be there a good 1.5 hour beforehand. Are there any complaints from Mummy and Daddy? Well, maybe there was, but after seeing the satisfied look on Princess Chelsea's eyes, it was certainly worth all the effort.

And while Daddy kept Princess Chelsea entertained with the Meet & Greet, Mummy Eliz had the opportunity to lunch and did some catch-up with her friends from Secondary School.

Special thanks to Auntie Fiona for keeping us informed about this Meet & Greet Event.

"Kids are reflections of their parents!" ??

"Kids are reflections of their parents!"

Mummy Eliz did not used to believe in the truthfulness of this statement. But as time passes by, and she witnesses Princess Chelsea exhibiting characteristics and behaviors that look so familiar, the realization is that there is certainly some amount of truth to it.

Once when Prince Christian was making a fuss, Princess Chelsea went over to him and told him, that if he keeps crying, Mummy and Daddy would not love him anymore.

That certainly was not reacting with compassion. And Mummy Eliz realized that is was exactly what Princess Chelsea was being told recently. And of course, an immediate change is required.

~ Siblings with compassion ~

PS:

For the sakes of the younger generation, before we parents start asking them to be polite, nice, compassionate, kind, generous, truthful etc, let us begin on a never-ending journey of self-improvement, and by showing them the way, they would be sure to follow.

"Respectful Parents, Respectful Kids"

"Respectful Parents, Respectful Kids"
- A title of a book recommended by a Mummy on AsiaParents.

Once Mummy Eliz gets the time, she will certainly read the book.

Actually just by looking at the title alone, one could roughly guess the main idea that the book is bringing across, and of course, Mummy Eliz could not agree more.

If a parents wants his/her kids to be respectful, the best way would be first to show respect to the kids and to everyone else.

Princess Chelsea's HOT! Date w/ Daddy

In a sincere attempt to woo back his precious Princess Chelsea's heart, Daddy Tiong took her on a HOT date to East Coast Park, just the two of them.

They fooled around in the indoor play-area at Play-ground @ Big Splash, swam in the sea, built sand castles, and enjoyed a slow bicycle ride. Looking at the pictures, they certainly enjoyed every moment of their VERY HOT date.
